Geer Tree is a full service Tree Care Company located in Cherokee County. After obtaining a B.S. in Landscape Management and an M.S. in Horticulture from the University of Georgia, and working as an Agricultural County Extension Agent for the UGA Cooperative Extension Service, Sam Geer founded Geer Tree Specialists, Inc., in November 2000. Beginning with basic equipment and servicing primarily homebuilders and landscape companies, we continued to improve our efficiences and expertise through training and experience, completing jobs both large and small and purchasing additional equipment. As our clientele experienced a level of quality and professionalism that exceeded expectations, our customer base grew by referral, to include both residential and commercial accounts.
Today, Geer Tree works with landscape contractors, home builders, pool contractors, land developers, property and facility managers, homeowners, municipalities, and many others who expect the highest levels of quality and professionalism, and where long-term relationships are mutually beneficial. We excel at Business to Business relationships and have become a highly regarded company with a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and progressive practices.
As North Georgia's premier company for tree maintenance and preservation, we also provide a full range of other services including tree removal. Our staff consists of multiple Certified Arborists, a Certified Treecare Safety Professional (CTSP) and degreed professionals who you can trust to give you honest advice and deliver principled business practices. We are fully insured with both Worker's Compensation and General Liability insurance and maintain memberships with ISA (International Society of Arboriculture), TCIA (Tree Care Industry Association), GAA (Georgia Arborist Association), and MALTA (Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association) . We are also a State Certified Drug Free Workplace. In our daily operations our goal is safety, quality, and production in that order.
UPDATE: On November 1st, 2010, Geer Tree merged with Boutte Tree, Inc. in Atlanta, GA to better serve our clients' needs! Boutte Tree will be the name you hear when you call us.
Tierson and Jessa Boutte own Boutte Tree, Inc. and have been in business since 1998. With a stellar reputation and many loyal customers, they have demonstrated over our years of collaboration a commitment to excellence in their work and to treating customers right, just as Geer Tree has.
Boutte Tree's in-house crane services and insect/disease diagnosis equipment (microscopes, digital cameras, etc.) will improve the service capabilities available to our clients. There are only a few tree services in the metro area that have this capability to handle every aspect of tree care in-house. Additionally, many of you know and have worked with our former Plant Health Care director, Robert Brettschneider. He will be serving in the same capacity for Boutte Tree and will help continue the relationship you have with Geer Tree.
